When taking his first steps in songwriting at the age of 13, the now 20 year-old Xavier D’Arcy aka Darcy had no one but the great Bob Dylan as an idol, but it took him a moment to realize that he just had to follow his real passion. Having graduated from high school in Munich, he went to York to study for a little while. But it didn’t take long until the urge of following his real passion just got too strong. So he returned to Munich in order to follow his heart: to devote himself totally to songwriting, playing music, and impressing audiences away with his rough, loud, dynamic voice. In February Darcy (who unbelievably started making music when singing in a boy’s choir as a ten year old) released his first EP “Extended Play”.

The Cherry Blossomed Trees where in full bloom at Landwehrkanal in Neukölln/Alt-Treptow, putting a bit of color and light into that sunless grey day in April. While the wind swept over our equipment several times, it almost seemed that Darcy’s voice somehow could have been responsible for it. But yeah, that might have been just our imagination. Anyhow — at the latest after having powerful, propellent hymn „Cape Of No Hope“ with its overwhelming a-capella intro – we assure you – you won’t get that voice out of your head for at least the rest of the day.
