Ewert and The Two Dragons

Their name sounds like a fairytale and their music will bewitch you: Ewert and the Two Dragons are four gentlemen from Estonia who can break your heart, sweep up the shards, and glue them together to form something beautiful again. Yes, they’re that good.
Founded in 2009 in Tallinn, the four band members Ewert Sundja, Erki Parnöja, Kristjan Kallas, and Ivo Etti released their first album in that same year already. While “The Hills Behind the Hills” was recorded in only three days, the band soon signed a record deal with the Latvian label “I love you records” and released their second album “Good Man Down” in 2011. Since then their star has been on the rise. With their smooth and melodic sound, each song tells a story of its own, filling every room with waves of melodrama – and a dizzy scent of hope.

We filmed Ewert and the Two Dragons at Insel der Jugend (Island of Youth) in Berlin-Treptow, a stream island in the river Spree. It used to be famous in the 1970s for its boat parties and concerts of Eastern German musicians. Now we’ve brought Eastern Europe here… and we certainly don’t want it to leave!
