MS Dockville Festival, near Hamburg was home to a plethora of great acts from 16th to 18th August, this summer. We were lucky enough that one of them was Berlin based Fenster. Indie pop stars Fenster came together back in 2010, made up of a New Yorker, a Berliner and then later completed with French percussionist Rémi. Otherwise now known as JJ, Jonathan, Thomas and Rémi.

Joining us out in the open by the Kleiderkreisel tent at Dockville, Fenster certainly came well equipped with their guitars, drums and keys, along with a healthy obsession for unicorns. This was all part of their energetic package as they performed their tracks ‘White To Red,’ and ‘Fantasy II.’ As they began to play, festival onlooker’s began to swarm in, as we all enjoyed are own Fenster session celebrations.

Fenster released their debut album ‘Bones,’ in March 2012, and since then have enjoyed its success playing numerous shows in the USA, and throughout Europe. They have been spreading their humorous attitude throughout Germany this summer playing at Immergut, Fusion and Dockville Festival, as well as crossing of to the US at SXSW in Austin and CMJ in New York. Now we shall see where the journey continues for Fenster, but at the moment, we are happy listening to their animated and enthusiastic sounds.
