Sea Change

The music of Sea Change really gets you into a deep modus of pleasant relaxation: the electronic dream-pop tunes do not only produce a calming tranquility but are also filled with a lot of uplifting moments due to the gripping loops that can be heard within the intimate tracks. On her debut album BREAKAGE you can perfectly hear the constant passion of  Norwegian-born Ellen A.W. Sunde, whose alter ego is Sea Change, for noise and improvisation: it comes with songs full of chilling intimacy and a swaying nonchalance that instantly draws you in.

When we met Sea Change, not only we were totally in favor of the Norwegian artist but also the weather gods were: It started pouring only a few minutes after we finished the filming on the rooftop garden of Klunkerkranich in Neukölln. Right before that we got the chance to witness Sea Change perform her capturing lo-fi tunes in the spectacular 8th-floor-setting right above the sunny roofs of Berlin.

By the way: our filming location Klunkerkranich is not just a beauty when the rain is about to fall all over the place, but also on sunny summer days. That’s why we put our heads together for a very special concert night in June and you better save the date:

On 10.6.2015 Berlin Sessions x Klunkerkranich will happen, including performances of lovely PHIA, Paula Tebbens Trio and Max Paul Maria up on the roof of Klunkerkranich in the heart of Neukölln.

Here’s a little Session-souvenir for you:
